Has the advent of HD television made you feel really surprised about how rough a lot of the presenters/actors look in all their enhanced glory? I think we've been overdosed into unreality by airbrushing and I personally think its great to see every detail kinda makes me feel human.

.

Last week was watching Loose Women, they had Esther Ranzten as a guest. Was watching it in the kitchen, non HD TV, then cam through to the Lounge HD TV.

The diff was ................, she still looks good but hell standard TV is much kinder

Actually Loose Women is an excellent example of good filming to compensate for HD. They have full face lighting and over exposed faces that make them look as if their foundation is flawless... but look at their hands and cleavage it tells a different story... but its one programme Ive seen so far where even HD is kind to their humanness in those filming conditions.

I had to study anatomy when I began to paint and photograph - a book worth the read is The Body: Photographs of the Human Form by William Ewing. I am fascinated by the ageing body and this covers the subject so well.

Wrinkles on a ladies face are wonderful....laughter lines around the eyes especially ...give me a face with character anytime ...rather than the bland anodyne visages that are so in vogue at the mo .....anyhows waffling again..
