You can't beat with a wooden fork out of a tray if you're out and about on say a seafront somewhere. Makes them taste better somehow

I'll be eating some later on a plate with a knife and fork while watching the telly. Still nice though.

There is a pub by me that makes veggie fish and chips where the "fish" is fried Halloumi. It's so yummy and I eat it with a knife and fork cuz it's oily.

If I'm taking them home then it's a fork out of the paper, but on a plate

Its a pub in Leeds called The Eldon. I don't think they are a chain. When I looked it up, though, there are tons of recipes online so maybe this is something I'll try making at home soon. Yum!

A world of my own

Salt n sauce from the paper if at home I so put on to a plate.

However the best fish and chips in the world comes from Anstruther. It has to be eaten at the beach with a wooden fork right from the box. With tartare sauce and a lemon wedge

God I'm hungry now x

I have rules for fish and chips

1, the batter can't be too crispy if I'm eating it in, otherwise it slips of the plate and makes me angry

2, I eat all if my chips before I even get to the fish, it just tastes better that way

3, I must have fish and chips if I'm by the sea, there really is nothing like it.

4, get that slice of lemon away from my fish, its not a cocktail

5, if they are available, its got to be Orange chips, salt and vinegar, and "batters"

6, sauce, see lemon, no tomato, no lemon, no bread sauce, and curry sauce? Get the funk out

What morally incompetent and culinary destitute decided to serve fish and chips in a box?

If any single one person thinks it's ok to have them served in a polystyrene container they deserved to be drowned in camel snot

You'd have to be careful which newspaper you wrapped them in these days as there is so much sh.t written in some of them it would taint the taste of your fish n chips
