I was given a new one for work and it's the biggest memory.

I have downloaded 2 apps and have 1 video 4 minutes but when trying to take pic for work it said no memory available

What have I done wrong it can't be right

Have you checked in the settings what space is available? General- about- storage, If it shows loads of space personally i would do a reset by holding the power and home button until the logo appears then disappears and see if that worked.

Settings general storage & iCloud usage... it should say in there how much is used and how much is available. It'll list the apps and how much you've used in each one.

Seems weird if you've reset it though... might be a bigger problem.

It says 124gb used and 221mb available.

Most if the apps can't be deleted as on phone already and don't have that little cross to delete.

My iphone 4 has apps pics music on and still room and it's lowest storage model ;(

Next have a look and see if the software is up to date, if not update it.

Failing that its backing it up to iTunes on pc and starting again or a trip to the Genius Bar if you can get a slot within the next week at least

Think there's a way to work out which apps take up all the memory / storage too, that may help you out?

Have at look at the manage storage part, it should list the apps and how much storage they are using and see what's taking up all the room.

Cheers, all the apps bar 2 were in the phone as new.

I had a peek and they don't add up to anywhere near.

The 4 minute video won't take huge amounts will it ?

The max storage is 128GB so it looks like you've used quite a lot. If its a work phone and they've disabled your ability to remove apps then chances are you're stuck with it.

Appreciate the reply but The only apps I can't remove are the ones that apple put on there from new, the two ones I've added for work can be deleted.

I've got no music, 1 short video, no photos, not many contacts(new company so building contacts)

My iphone 4 with less memory has way more stuff if mine on it

Aha... okay... well what's in the list underneath when you go into 'manage storage'... that'll tell you what has used up the most storage. Could be emails/messages?

Sounds a bit odd to me but then again I'm useless at sussing out how much memory is being used.

Usually I find on mine photos / music takes up the space, whatssap takes up a fair bit too.

Actually I'm going through mine now, free up some room

I'll keep your photos safe if you want...

"Says iOS 9.2.1 software up to date "

What does it say in the Manage Storage tab... it should list the apps and how much each is using.

Might have problem updating ios if the storage is full, if the phone is new then I'm stumped, but if its been used before and there are a lot if texts and the like stored on it, that might be your problem

Yeah that's true, would probably have to set up as a new device and start again.

If you can, plug it into your computer/laptop and open iTunes. If you can click on the icon for the phone there should be a bar at the bottom of the app showing how much memory is taken up by pics/music/apps/docs... There should also be a category called "others". This is notorious for gobbling up space on a phone - it's old data and stuff that's been deleted but is still in the memory. It's been known to swallow up Gigs of space. If this is the problem, the only way to clear it is to do a back up and restore... hope this helps?

I have 28 videos on my 64gb model and I have loads of space so there is a problem somewhere, have you looked at manage storage?

Settings. General. Storage & iCloud usage. Storage. Manage storage.

There should then be a list of apps and how much storage they are using

Not sure how to fix it but that's definitely not right. Mine is only 64GB but it's got all kind of shit on it and is nowhere near full.

Weird one that. I've got over 3000 pics, 500 songs, 7 full length movies and about 100 smaller vids on my 128Gb 6+ and I've still got 52Gb storage left.

It seems to have got stuck halfway through a update which fooled it into thinking it was updated when it wasn't and also thinking it's storage was full when it was nearly empty !

All reset and now good as new with loads of storage free and available
