I have messaged first. I usually get blocked unless it's to someone I've messaged via a forum post. Those get blocked further down the line.

I always say it but I think women should message first more often. I think it's a much more productive and proactive way to go about things, instead of sitting there, sorting through your inbox, having to go through a million messages in the hope of finding one you like.

I've formed some great friendships and hopefully more from women who have messaged me first.
