Yeah... habit more than anything. I remember my driving instructor asking if I was indicating to the birds. Struck me as odd that you wouldn't. You can't see what's round the corner and pedestrians as well as other vehicles should be able to predict where you're going by your indications. |

No; there is no point or need to indicate or give a signal if there is no- one to benefit from it.
However, you have to judge if another vehicle or cyclist or pedestrian will come into view who might benefit from the signal.

Always do and everyone should.
There could always be an unsighted pedestrian, cyclist etc. I walk a lot and it infuriates me when people come flying off the roundabout when I'm crossing/about to cross the road. And don't get me started on the chumps who don't stop at zebra crossings just because it's a quiet nighttime! Mega-arses the lot of them! |
