We had a guy turn up to a party, I saw him arrive in a taxi. About 15 minutes later he said he had left his cigs in the car and would just pop and get them. Obviously he was never to return! |

I had a guy who was running late and told me he'd had a flat tyre and was at the side of the road trying to sort it.
Pretty impressive when his profile showed he was logged on on a desktop computer not a mobile device!  |

Why not just say they'd changed their mind?
I had a guy cancel on me cos his mother had been rushed into hospital with a heart attack.
I was rather impressed since he'd told me a couple of months previously that he wasn't meeting because his mother had just died and he was really upset and busy with the funeral |

We have all heard them all
Why can't people be honest an say " sorry i don't want to meet" etc a lot easier tbh

I had a guy say his employer had called him to go out to an oil rig and there was no signal from out there. He had two days to send a "sawry carnt make it" text. Shows how much he cared. |

Well apart from the usual excuses I get from time to time i.e."ive just been called into work" "my granny has been taken ill unexplectedly" etc. etc. The absolute best excuse I've had on FAB for a no show was just two hours before the meet was due to happen and I kid you not, she said, "really sorry but have just read my horoscope and the moons in aquarius so its best that I dont leave the house today" of course, not surprsingly, 48 hours later her profile was gone. |

I'm outside in the car, I had to bring my 2 kids with me as my weekend to take them, I don't want to lock them in the car again, do you have a spare room I can put them in !!

I had to turn down a social meet due to work. I gave her plenty of notice as I knew from lunchtime there was no way I was going to finish at a reasonable time .

I was driving along the coast road, when a giant sea monster rose out the water and a huge tenticle grabbed and crushed my car. Obviously i am shaken up.. Wet.. And covered in sea.. So i am not able to make it. Yours sincerely mr. P Blancmange .. Howz at for am excuse ? |
