Do you have certain things you see that sey off alarm bells in your head?
I thought I was good at spotting the fakes and time wasters but since my last 5 meets haven't gone through (some cancel on the day, others not heard nothing) I've realised I can't tell at all.
I do look for the normal kind of things I only meet verified people and Skype before the meet is arranged.
What else do you look for?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
If they're desperate to meet you for one evening then you never hear from them again, they were on here for a wank only.
A guy that seems inordinately excited about a meet and asks millions of questions (what will you wear? What will we get up to?) will back out last minute usually. |

I've got one of these at the moment. We can't meet for 4 weeks. He's champing at the bit.
I've told him to chill or he'll be bored with the idea before 4 weeks is up. He swears he won't and can't understand why I'm refusing to talk about what we'll do and stuff.
I'll wait and see but I'm counting no chickens. |

Verification from people who are well know on forums (not another fakes profile making the verification) will help in the decision making process. Casey can see bullshit a mile away and obviously that helps too. You read between the lines and your gut will usually tell you.
Life experience helps too.
I guess you are learning the hard way.
Good luck in future!

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
I only meet chat room regulars. Once they've chatted for hours, over several days/weeks, they have a lot invested in the meet. In 4+ years on this and other sites, I have never had a no-show.
Also, they know they would never dare go in the chat room again, if word got round that they had been a no-show. |

Aye, all that shit is just wank fodder at the time...Once they've blown their load, the chances of actually meeting are slim to none...and they generally never had any intention of doing so... |

As soon as someone asks the question "what will you do to me when we meet" its a dead give away its a guy pretending to be a couple.
Probably dick in hand waiting for my reply.

To be fair I'm not verified, but that doesn't mean I'm a time waster. Just haven't had the chance to prove I'm genuine. Don't really message people all that often cause I never expect I'll get a reply. Maybe I should start saying hello to people |

I've never had a no-show thankfully. I generally only meet people who I meet on the forums, those that are currently meeting others and anyone who attends socials. If a person will travel just to have a chat then will generally meet for more |

I wish somebody would waste my time other than the usual suspects
My bank manager
My landlord
The woman in the co-op
The kids
The binmen!! Fecking splitters never turn up |

Most or all of the above. If I don't feel a connection then I'm out, as it may be a fabricated entity.
Have fallback plans that you'll follow if it doesn't happen or work. A film to see, phone calls to friends, or whatever you'd like to do, so it's no loss.
And when you get pushed to describe what you will do with them when you meet, I'm ready to fall asleep as they've bored and lost me already.
If they don't do pre-meet confirmatios, as agreed, my contingency plans get readied. |

I find time wasters really easy to spot. I use science to help me. It's simple. If I arrange a meet with someone and they don't show. Then they're a time waster.
As far as any earlier warning system is concerned, just use your instincts.
