I pass the 50 years mark in mid March which feels slightly odd. Now 50 was fine and I'm really enjoying life its generally very good,Im lucky to be fit and well so why does 51 feels almost more significant? |

It's funny isn't it, I felt exactly the same way. I think the zero numbers as my dad calls them are significant milestones often and feel a bit special move over to 41 or 51 and its mundane and ordinary reality hits home. My dad who is looking forward to his 90th says the zero numbers are free years in which you don't get any older...I for one like his logic. |

"51 is in the past :
I don't get this age thing;
I have more fun every day...."
It's in the past for me too but I can reflect on the passage of time without regret or envy of those younger than me. I can also acknowledge that some birthdays make you assess your life. It isn't an "age thing" in my opinion because surely any thinking person reflects on their life at any stage. |

Another day older and still alive. ..... that's all that matters to me.
I'll be much more concerned if I wasn't going to get any older
