It's not a funny answer but I've always liked the name Jessica, even when I was a kid. No idea why though. So, Jessica and I'd keep my last name.

I did change my name......
I was called Anthony by my parents and it stuck while I was at school....but I found rock climbing and started to get called Tony which I liked better.
Even my mum sometimes calls me Tony now |

I like my name but I use my first name and my middle name so there's a capital in the middle. There's no hyphen or a space... it's just stuck together but it really gets on my nerves when people spell it wrong. Especially on email when it's in the address and my signature.

I'm adopted and my *spit* paternal gave me the name Catherine. My parents liked it so decided to keep it but have me the middle name angharad. When I found out that the parternal side was a very bad man I struggled with my first name but now all's good cos I relise I have always been Catherine to my parents and that they chose me and love me. "We are saddled with a name we are given or inherit
So just for whimsy,,,, If you could change your name......
What new name would you choose... ? "
I'm waiting for some paperwork to finish changing my name to the masculine version of my given name. |

I don't think I would to be honest I've a quite unusual first name as its double barrelled and I quite like it.
Having said that my best friend shares my name however hers is first and second name lol I like to be different. |

I've looked into this just this weekend, I'm sending my divorce papers off soon and I read somewhere you might have to change your name by deed poll for somethings so I'm likely to send the forms away once everything is finalised

My actual name is so seventies it's painful. I go by the male diminutive version of it as well, which tends to surprise people when they meet me after an email exchange. If I wanted to change it I always fancied being a Cordelia after a bit in Anne of Green Gables but I don't think I could pull it off, plus it sounds way too posh for me. |

My parents put a name on my birth cert.. then used a nickname from that day on.. I hate my real name and I'd love to change it to what everyone calls me but I can't be areas with informing all the numerous places. They did the same with my brother and he changed his name as he didn't have as many people to inform. |
