I dont like the unknown

I like surprises if i dont know im getting one, but when someone says 'I've got you a present but im not telling you' i just feel really uncomfotable about the anticipation and unknown

Ive been like it since i can remember, am i just odd or are others like it too?

I'd be grateful someone thought of me and had bought me a present.

Only if its my eldest daughter telling me . I always know its going to be something i really do need and not something thats going to end up at tge back of tge cupboard for the next decade . Last pressie was a welding mask . I really really did need a new one its got skulls on it . I love it . Saves me having to go without sleep due to a arc eye

Just bad surprises I don't like.

You ought to chill out and consider this being an unreasonable response to a kind gesture.

what's the worst that could happen. Is it a friend or family? If it's family it will be a nice present if it's a friend the worst it could be is a joke present just open it when your on your own.

Hard to just "chill out" when you have a psychological disorder.
