Well stop doing the woe is me stuff cos you are single- lots of us are!
AND learn to cook then!
Roasts are one of the easiet things to do. Start off with roast chicken- if you look on the label it even tells you how long and at what temperature to cook it- simples! |

told you longlegs, I'll cook you one some day. Get that oven fixed....
We've just stopped on the motorway for a cooked breakfast so won't be eating until tonight now when i think we'll be having meat and potato pie with herbed potatos and steamed veg.
Ultimate roast dinner would be some yummy lamb, fluffy crispy roasties, veg al dente, yorkshires a little gravy and lots of mint sauce. |

Roast duck over roast beef, and it needs to be pink, not completely dead!
And the roast potato has to be crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
And I'd like some roast parsnip too please!
Stir-fried veg instead of boiled, unless the boiled veg is crunchy and dressed in butter.
Hold the gravy, I'll be pan juice as in duck fat instead drizzled over the meat and crispy skin.
A bit of plum sauce on the side, yum yum!

Joint of brisket, cooked slowly in my slow cooker for about 8 hours (whilst i am at work) on a bed of assorted root vegatables and water
roasted spuds that i par biled first then dried
home made yorkshire puddings not the aunt bessie ones, (yes i can make them and have the appropiate tins)
gravy made by straining the liquid from the slow cooker, and adding a spoon full of gravy powder to thicken
served up with a dollop of horseradish or english mustard
cannot beat it

I love a good Sunday dinner, we have one every weekend. Lamb is my favourite with all the trimmings.
Tonight however, we are having hoisin pork stirfry with egg fried rice because we're trying to eat the contents of the freezers before we move
We've got some interesting meals to come in the next few weeks, when we got towards the bottom!

I don't know what's roasting in the kitchen, my son is making dinner ....I helped him change his car wheel earlier though so a cooked dinner is my reward. |
