I gave a guy what i thought was a great compliment and he didn't seem to take it very well, surely to be told you are a great looking guy, and much better than your pictures is a nice thing to say, isn't it?Mina xxx

Some men feel uncomfortable with complements. Nige is like that and sometimes blushes. I do like it when you find a guy who is like that because you can complement him till he is beetroot red

depends who they from, if they are from people who have no reason to compliment you then they are nice cause you know thet are genuine

If they from guys off here i just shrug them off as the chances are they just saying what they think you want to hear in order to get a shag lol

and the nice messages that may seem a compliment are probaly just chance messages that are copied and pasted to every women on the site

Of course men like compliments. I'm guessing that one wasn't taken too well as it's a bit of a back handed compliment, suggesting he looked dog ruff in his photos.

I think people read them different on the mood they are in? I think take it with a pinch of salt if your offended.

But compliments are nice....If they are genuine ones.

For me it depends on the situation! There have been times with me when I`ve recieved a complement when I didn`t think I "deserved" it which I find a bit awkward. There have been times when I`ve been lucky and been complemented, but I`ll point out my luck while happily accepting the complement. There`s other permentations, of course!

Why would you not like receiving compliments? As long as it's genuine and an actual compliment then why not? Doesn't happen often enough, but maybe thats just me not being that remarkable. Hmmmm, must do something about that lol
