I don't usually have music on if I'm alone. If someone else puts the music on I turn it down when I'm in heavy traffic.

We do this. I usually read to Marc on long drives but when we get to a place where he has to focus we turn the radio on but with a low volume.

I don't think it's weird.

Always turn it down when the sat navy says we are close to our destination .

I always tell Sabrina to stop sucking my cock at that point too , as it would be irresponsible to arrive late for the sake of a bj

I tend not to have music too loud anyway but yes I'll turn it down if I need to concentrate on something, like if I'm making a tricky reverse or manoeuvre. Come to think of it, it is a bit odd

When my son first passed his test, I bought him a little car,

And before I handed him the keys I had the radio removed.

He should be concentrating 100% on the driving, not listening to music.

At least till he had enough money to buy his own car!

When I first started driving I couldn't have music on!

Now if I'm getting stressed or concentrating I shout at the kids to be quiet and turn the music down!

If I'm listening to a sat nav the music goes off and I scream at everyone to shut up before I miss my turn off. Road trips with my family are like a Griswold's day out.

on the road to nowhere in particular

It's a male brain thing about not being able to multitask, if a man is reading he becomes virtually deaf so turning the radio down will help him concentrate on the task at hand

no music normally stays on and most of the time its loud or loudish

only time music is off is when I want to listen to the car and what the car is telling me

the knocks, the bumps and the vibrations that the car is giving off whilst driving

ooh and kids sometimes told me to turn it up, more often than tun it down

Central

I almost invariably turn music or the radio down when I need to concentrate for driving. Sensory overload is an easy way for me to make errors and I prefer safety.

Heard "Excuse ME?".."eh? What the foo..?".."you logged a call with us yesterday about booking tickets..".."ah. Ahaha. Bugger. Sorry about that, you've caught me driving..er..can we start again?"..heh.
