A thought came to me when I was browsing images looking for face expressions, ladies, if you were chatting to a guy on here, found him intelligent, charming and good humoured enough to meet, would you still meet him if you exchanged face pics, and found something slightly off putting about his face expression, think a Willem Dafoe-esque face, filled with piercing eyed intensity.

Nope.

Facial attraction = #1 criteria for me.

In fact, I wouldn't start chatting without seeing one. Lol

Same here in theory, sometimes I forget to ask for one before chatting.

There is a certain expression some men have that puts me off immediately. Not rational probably but there you are.

*nod* It's happened to me once or twice too.

But then I feel bad for turning them down if I don't like them when I do see them. So I always remember now. Lol. Just for the sake of my conscience.

I probably wouldn't meet him. I'm attracted to kind, open faces with full lips. Miserable, waspish and thug-life faces don't do anything for me. Wonky teeth and big, bent noses I like, but beady eyes,no.

Many years ago when I was new to my job there was a guy who worked in my place and he was really mean and scary looking, I fancied him instantly and remember thinking 'I bet he's really filthy'. He left but I saw him at the Xmas party last year as he came along with a mutual friend and we got talking and I met up with him and he's just as I thought he would be.

So in answer to your question, in short, no it wouldn't put me off

If he didn't look right, then nothing else would matter, massive no-go.

One man's Willem Dafoe is another man's Jimmy Hill...or Bruce Forsyth.

The expression you're looking for is "bug eyes". Anyway, Everyone has a physical"quirk"; Personally believe those types of differences can be much more alluring / attractive over an idealised verbatim aesthetic of ..whatever the envogue idea of " beauty" is.

No, I like intensity, but attraction is such a fickle thing, I never know what I will find attractive or off-putting 'til I see it. There are certain facial characteristics which I find extremely off-putting in a kneejerk kind of way lol!

Negative aspects of character are probably the quickest way to turn me off - but conversely a positive enough interaction can overcome almost everything.

If they look creepy or retarded i wouldn't meet them.

I actually did a test thing a while back where you had to guess which guy was the rapist out of loads of faces. I found them all creepy looking as said they all look liked rapists and even joked about 2 of them looking like peadophiles, turned out i was right about them all.

Faces can give away a lot more than you can imagine.

Lots of serial killers/ sex offenders have been pillar of the community/ charismatic/ " normal" looking. So I don't agree at all.

Genuine psycho or sociopaths can look and behave very "normally". That's why they're so many notable examples of them.

The shiny perfect looking apple crawling with maggots and rot beneath springs to mind. In the figurative sense.

Esmeralda fell head over heels for Quasimodo.. Silly Disney story yeah, good things don't always come in ..nice packages.

There's really no blanket rule one can use to universally .. Judge everyone.

I prefer to chat without a pic and see where the chat goes and then see pics. I chatted to Mr A online before I even knew what he looked like x

When you've been around overt abusers for a while you do get an idea of what they 'look' like, you just get good at reading emotions to protect yourself.

But yeah covert ones it's a bit hard to tell, they tend to be good at acting and this can include facial expressions, although many have a half dead face when fake smiling me and some other people have noticed.

I spent ten years with a guy I never actually fancied facially just cause I liked HIM and we had bloody good sex --Mistake!! Should have gone with facial judgement! Haha!!

To some people I look scary, if I'm out at night, people have been known to cross the road to avoid me, possibly because I'm big, have a beard, and my faces default setting is a frown, but in all seriousness, and I really hope no one takes the piss here, when people cross the road to avoid me, it makes me really sad, to the point where there have been a couple of times when its happened, when I've been having a bad day anyway, that its made me physically cry.

This is my face, and my stature, its what I was born with, I can't (and why should I) do anything about it,I just hate being judged.

Guys especially here are well advised to get happy smiling faces in their pics - their own faces I'll add. Glares and stares are too common, reminiscent of when a man penetrates you in his mind, whilst you're out and about.

Like others, someone's facial attractiveness is important to me. Don't generally have selfies, get friends or wives to take them for you.

Yes there are a lot of faces which put me off people. Even where they're considered good looking, if I think they look mean then I'm not in the slightest bit interested.

I either like a face or I don't, no particular reason but I guess their are subconscious reasons I wouldn't meet someone with mad eyes

No face pic no chat but i've noticed some guys try to put on a hunky non smiling broodingly handsome pose and that can make then look scary and frighteningly. I can't pose very well for face pic's myself so i do understand it's not easy
