Couple of Rome tips.

Do pay for the Vatican tour and the Colosseum as it cuts HOURS off the queuing, and worth it for that alone. Plus the guide will bring the Colosseum to life for you. We were lucky enough to see the Sistine chapel lit up and our guide who had been doing it for 17 years was PEED off... never seen it...LOL

Oh and at dusk get up high and watch the starlings perform.. just awesome in their millions and we have met Romans who claim to never to have seen it?
