Why do people exchange messages with each other, chatting away for hours, getting on very well or so it seems lol, then they disappear without saying got to go back in a few hours !!! |

Its not an instant messaging service and people have lives to lead. Some people I've been chatting to for over a year and often just drop off due to something happening. Its how it works

Could this message tennis be a way to get to know someone?
The potential result of this being that they despise the person and would rather never speak to them again as long they have a hole in their arse? |

I don't know, perhaps they have lives and other things need attending to. Things that are more important than chatting to strangers.
Do you expect people to make an appointment to come back, so you know when to expect them? |

Chatting and getting to know someone may not be a good thing if you're not what they expected.
You can maybe reduce the chance this happening by having public photos and a more expressive profile. |
