Which of these would you prefer attending, a club or a social or both?? Give reasons please as still trying to find out bit more about this. Many thanks xx |

Both.
Socials are (usually) in a pub where I can have a drink and a chinwag with likeminded people, with no pressure to play with any of them.
Clubs are a safe and secure place for me to meet men for NSA sex. |

I don't do purely socials I can't see the point, if you meet for a drink and like why would you arrange sex for another time? |

I only live about a 10 min walk from The Attic, but have only been 3 times. It was good, but might have been better had I been with a partner.
I am going to the Sheffield Social in a closed pub (run by Tempting Devil), on March 5th as it is my birthday as well 
Looking forward to meeting a few forumites and making a few connections   |

Yeah I suppose everybody does things different but me personally and the question is what we prefer  I'd rather play that meet if we got on, can always get a hotel room no matter what time you call, believe me I've done it many times, met for a drink and called a hotel at 11pm and got a room |

I always suggest a social as I know some prefer that first, I never expect to play on a social meet so if it does happen, it's a bonus. |

When I first joined "the scene" it was all socials for me and bloody big socials they were too! Anyone who has been around for long enough will know the term "Munches" which were organised by individuals on websites like this. We would take over a whole pub and it was closed to members of the public. It used to be a huge occasion and sometimes if a local hotel proved to be popular, before and after parties would be taking place! I went to many of these Munches and it was some time before I ever got to a club.
I`m now a fairly regular club go-er but I still miss the big social events! |
