Compared to a human year , which ultimately is 365 days .
So it's still a year whatever the animal .... |

They just don't live as long as humans....
There's no need to invent a comfort blanket to disguise the fact... |

I love dogs but can't have one because through work, I can't dedicate enough time to another. My last doggy was a long hard collie and he was soft as shit, I got him from the kennels and he wax a few years old when I got him but I had him 14 years and in the end I had to have him put down to ease his pain and for the fact as I mentioned earlier, I was working and couldn't dedicate enough time to him. My ex had to come with me to the vet and when the time came, I had to leave the room because I was in floods of tears, just as I am now as I write this...
He was my best pal and I still feel so bad for what I did, I let him down. If the maths are right, he would have been 119 years old!
That was about 15 years ago and I still regret what I did...
Mossy if your up there and can see what I'm writing, I still love you so much and I'm so sorry for what I did but I hope your pain has gone now.
What a silly old sod I am! |

Safest day for me was finding out my mum had put our dog to sleep, she was a 18 year old border collie named Sue. She was brilliant company, when ever you were low she seemed to know what to do to cheer you up. We nursed her back to health after she had a seizure. Worst bit is just remembering her brings back the tears.
We now have a 3 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, rescue dog but she is coming along slowly. |

My brother once told me that there is such a thing as gay years, a 40 year old gay man is the equivalent of a 30 year old straight man.
I take the things he says with a pinch of salt though, since he tried to tell me that the one of the X men films, the one with the "cure" is a gay metaphor. Lol |
