So as I lay here slowly slipping away with man flu, I actually think us men get a bad image from the ladies.
I don't moan half as much as the women in the office when I'm ill.
So who's with me that men are tougher than the ladies when it comes to illness.

Its a serious condition. Some women can't understand that us men can whinge maybe once a year as opposed to once a month so they belittle our pain. |

"If my work is any type of barometer or thermometer the girls have far more sick days than the guys! "
Actually that's very true at our place. But probably just a coincidence |

yes, because women will stay home and get rid of whatever ails them....men far prefer to make as big a fuss, involving as many people as possible, to witness their dreadful ills in an attempt to get sympathy! |

Well let me think.
I can't breathe thru my nose, my throat is lined with razor blades, every bit of me aches and I can barely turn my head it's that achy. My head is pounding and nothing I've taken has helped.
Today I have washed dried and ironed 2 loads. Scrubbed the kitchen floor after my lad spilled his cereal all over it. Walked to the hospital to get him a chest x ray, then to the doctors for a prescription, then to the chemists to pick up the meds. Done the shopping, came home and cooked the dinner.
Hes just off to bed so I could get to bed myself but I can't as I've got a delivery coming between 8&10 which I've had to get late as his birthday cake is in it so it needed to be after his bedtime.
Woman flu?? Ain't got time for that shit! |

I must say hats off to that. I have the same symptoms and I have had to call a time out. Had a brave face on all day now look like the rainbow fairy wacked me with her wound. I agree ladies do tend to handle the flu better then men (in my opinion) or it maybe that I just like that little bit of extra attention

Proof if ever it was needed, manflu is worse.
Us chaps can't do any of that stuff when manflu strikes.

I've been ill for a week with this dreaded man flu.
I will admit it I'm a wimp hate being ill and having no one to look after me really thought I was going to die.
Good bye cruel world |

It's probably something to do with how men are raised, mothers fussing over them, infantalising them when they're ill.
Women are generally encouraged to grin and bare it, soldier on and put the needs of others before their own in terms of care giving... |
