There's often questions on the forums about the virtues of hotlist and winks etc. As a social experiment try the following and update your findings:
Wink at ten people ..does anything happen?
Update your status to: If I'm on your hotlist mail me....you'll know if you're on one then.
Then finally reply politely to one of that big pile of messages asking for a meet and see if they accept no thanks.

I won't do the first or second.
As for the third, I've done this far more than 10 times today and everyone has been extremely nice in return.

I've found usually if I wink someone they either wink back or message me. A couple of people have told me I'm on their hotlist X, which is very flattering.
And trying to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet is a nightmare xx |

and the people on my hotlist know why they are on there...
and the last person I turned down for a meet I replied no thankyou and he messaged back saying ty for the reply...not many do |

Winks , some like them some dont .
As for.my hotlist its mostly my friends , and I use it to see quickly how they are.
