Bloody left ear is blocked, was in epic pain most of the night with it, and could hear little air pockets popping, weeped overnight and had dry wax on the outer ear and lobe this morning, just had another shower and put my ear to the shower head, feels very tacky now, still blocked though, anyone got any good home remedies that work to fix this? Wanting to avoid buying Otex if I can. |

Reapply. It can help get wax moving.
Wax works out of your ear in a corkscrew manner. This us why using cotton buds and any other means (including water unless under medical supervision) is not good. You can push the wax back in so the natural way it pushes it out only impacts it further in.
Warm oil can help as it loosens it but it can also introduce possible infection - if you've already got the beginnings that's not going to help!
The heat of a hot water bottle can soften wax helping it to flow and can also affect the pressure in the ear canal helping to draw it out. The towel is not just to make the heat more bearable to skin but it can (fingers crossed) help if any gunk comes out (medical term there) |

I would go with this. Works 90% of the time when I have had ear problems, don't forget to block your ear with some cotton wool.

Gunna give it another go now, some came out but feel theres a whole lot more yet as the ear ache is bloody killing me know, taken some pain killers too. |

Keep chucking the olive oil in for about a week, then book an appointment to get it syringed. I have to have mine done about every 2 yrs, it feels quite tickley, but the nurse who does it is quite fit  |

You need to see a gp live, ears are prone to getting infections, and it may feel like you have little pockets of fluid popping around- you may need antibiotics love x |

I've booked an appointment, they got cleaned out by the nurse about 7 years ago, but I think they've stopped doing that procedure now. Pain has stopped and it's a little more clear, just feels wierd now. |

Straighten out a coat hanger, super glue a blob of cotton wool on the end , boil up some detail , try and push as far into the ear as possible and wiggle. |

Pretty sure they advise against shoving anything thinner than your elbow down your ear, but will double check. |

Pretty sure they advise against shoving anything thinner than your elbow down your ear, but will double check."
You'll end up perforating your eardrum and that takes months to heal |

Been doing the olive oil thing today, getting there, hearing has come back but feels a little sore now. |

"I thought mine was just wax once, turned out to have an infection that lasted two courses of antibiotics and a few weeks of pain, get it checked out incase it is something more"
I have an appointment tomorrow so will know more then, it does feel sore but not as bad, not sure that's to do will all the excavating I was doing myself today. |
