I do agree that love should be shown every day not just Valentine's day.... It's very commercialised these days more so than it ever was when we were younger |

We do, just a card and something small.
We have been married for coming up to twenty nine years and, obviously, been together longer than not so it's nice to remember that there is love there as well as the comfort of a strong marriage.

Would rather do something together or give/receive a little surprise just because.
As opposed to on a day your told you "have to do it".
No valentines news here, anyway just googled him & not a particularly romantic bloke. Should be Cupid's, Aphrodite's or Venus's day.

I would have thought the most romantic day of the year is an individual date that means something special to people who remain so deeply in love with one another that each day of the years is special too them......

Other half gives me gifts and flowers all year round. Has yet to say I love you but his actions says it all. We won't be doing anything special today.
Off looking at wedding dresses with my youngest. She's 24, getting married and not into this commercial nonsense either! |

So if it's true, according to romantic legend, the guy we are celebrating was a kind-hearted Roman priest who married young couples against the wishes of Emperor Claudius II, and was beheaded for his deeds on the 14th of February.....
Nothing says I love like celebrating the anniversary of an execution...  |
