Every so often, the forums feel like everything that can be said has been said, and every question has been answered, I know there are new people comming in, and its all new and wonderful, but sometimes I swear you can predict what threads are going to be on page one before you even log on, just saying like. |

Start your own threads! Join in the ones your interested in and don't the ones your not, if they are boring don't log on for a bit and go and do something else.
Forums are forums same subjects repeat all though a theme often appears for a bit loads of threads on one thing then something else appears |

"Well, if you're not enjoying them then don't use them. Think of all the things you could do with that free time!"
I just think with the amount of intellect that I know for a fact a lot of the frequent forum users have there could be more interesting posts, some peoples threads I look forward to, yours, soxy just to mention a couple, but some of it is just tripe (and I don't mean the actual tripe thread from last week, that was interesting) |

I got bored of starting serious topics and having personal attacks launched against me because of my views. So now I save my brainpower for intellectual debates with friends, mostly on Facebook. |

I post a fair bit but I don't often start a thread and when I do they are very rarely intellectual and thought provoking. Usually mine are a mix of puns and humour, comments and observations, the occasional naive question and blatant flirting. Most are similar. |

Sometimes the forums offer a light hearted respite from the reality of life .
Sometimes they entertain me and other times they get me a bit hot under the collar .
Most certainly the same subjects keep coming up , with the same responses from the same people .
I'll dip in and out and ruffle a few feathers , and maybe seek a bit of attention ( )
But overall they serve a worth purpose for all who use them |

Maybe I'm just on a come down from the single mothers thread, it git heated at times, and tempers flared a bit but I don't remember many people sitting in the fence, and those who had a different view to me said what they wanted to say and put their argument forward well, I'm all for fun threads, but like I said, sometimes it all gets stale, mist if the time though you suddenly get a rush if threads that you have to take part in and everything goes right again, its just waiting for those threads can be boring |

I don't expect other people to entertain me, its an observation that the forums go stale every so often, and that thread was last week. |

The right place |
The forums are a bit like the BBC. A mixture of education, information and entertainment.
Generally the balance between these is about right.
It's also a bit like Dave in that it's full of repeats. But you don't have to read them. |

I posted a thread this week along much the same idea but I find it interesting that the same people have a tendency to post similarly themed threads. I was thinking that maybe its indicative of how they operate intellectually (or not) or emotionally |

I find the forums can be predictable & a little boring at times but as I can't think of any witty / intelligent threads to start to counter balance that I tend to not login as much.
Always seem to enjoy them more after a few days off.

You've made a valid point, but just as men with positions of responsibility come to me in a "submissive mode" could it not be those with "intellect" want to kick back and say "good morning, kiss, fuck, avoid?" simply to empty their minds?
Granny Crumpet for example: VERY smart cookie, in seven years she's never started a "sensible" thread yet! You know what I mean Granny! |

I think the fora reflect any large social group with one loosely common interest. There will only ever be a few topics of conversation and they will be repeated over and over. Very occasionally someone will dare to be different and the group will quickly ensure that they're ejected and settle back into the comfortable and familiar routine. |
