Are all ginger people related?
I'm sure I remember something about people with blue eyes all being descended from one ancestor - maybe the ginger gene is similar?.. |

Kinda why I asked..... I've suddenly started getting a lot of comments on being a redhead (despite it not being red in that sense) but I've been red on n off for years without much being said. I was stopped TWICE in a supermarket last week!? Lol |

This!! Since changing my profile to say I'm a redhead, I get so many messages from guys who tell me redheads are their thing. I know this could be a bit of a bullshit ploy to get me into conversation but surely not all of them? Weird!

Its a recessive gene.
Predominant in northern Europe where UV levels are low. We produce higher levels of vitamin D which makes us less succeptable to ricketts. So we should feel sorry for you really. |

Redhead here (was bright orange when younger now going darker as I'm getting older) and I hate it.....however it's like any other hair colour you get attractive redheads (both sexes) as you do with black,blonde,brunette ect...
As for fiery I'm obviously not your typical redhead because I'm quite laid back and only flip if pushed to the limit as anyone else would. Shouldn't it be more about the individual overall rather than a hair colour??

I had a lady randomly approach me one day whilst out shopping, she wanted to know what "shades" I got on my hair.....I politely told her that it's all my own natural colour and that it's ginger she then asked if she cut cut abit off to take to the hairdressers to get a match errmm NO!!!!
