Seriously though I'm anaphylactic to latex, insect bites, and a specific type of antibiotics.
I have about 4 epi pens dotted in the house and car. |

Spices, Peppers and similar foods.
Propellant gases of Aerosol sprays.
Alcohol contents of Perfumes and beauty products, including aftershave.
Tobacco products smoke.
All these I've learnt to deal with usually in advance, but at a cost.
I often can't go on work related dinners or meals out as I must be careful what ingredients are in the food. In fact, one company banned me from company Xmas parties as I was 'a problem!'.
Dates or meets can be a nightmare in case the lady overdoes her perfume, but an advance request can alleviate that.
If I am caught off guard by one of the above products, I cough, but sometimes the coughing doesn't stop and it runs till I either throw up or in extremes, black out.
With the latter, I'm usually admitted to A&E, but thankfully, the last time was 11 yrs ago. |
