So a film or series ruined your like for a genre..you might be still a fan..but that film/series just made you disinterested..

heres mine.

Godfather..I hate these films..put me off all gangster films till tarantino really..

startrek voyager, put me off startrek, because it became so badly written(even worse it spawned enterprise!)- thankfully the film reboots are pretty nifty.

horrors...FOUND footage shit..my god..it has to end..who in their right mind is running from a ghost/alien/demon/zombie..etc and decides running with the camera while filming is a great idea(add paranormal activity, even though it has security cam footage)

lastly,reboots of recent past favourites

the X-files(its utter PISH)

..I can think of more I suppose

I'm watching one now.. JeruZalem..

the girls using google glass instead of a camera lol(at one point she plays a googleglass zombie game in her house)..but I had been thinking of a dragons den idea of having a alien or zombie version of those mad lazer quest thingies that people go to..mix it with augmented reality and some real..

daniel radcliffe:

I dont mind the harry potter films..but I took a dislike to him very early on..I just think he's been pushed into acting, then marketed..now trying to make it as a 'diverse' actor..(he mighta made a good peter parker though..)

Saw movies,, that whole genre has been ruined thanks to these movies, far too predictable now and not very entertaining, blood and gore is so last decade

I didnt know who he is..I've never been a reader of novels/graphic novels, but did like watchmen, as a graphic novel(never read a full comic series in my life),then the film watchmen came out..and to me..it IS the definitive super hero movie..

Even though Scream was a decent movie.... Any teen slashers released after that has destroyed that genre, although I did watch It Follows the other night... Not bad

Hostel..

I was bought it..watched it..it was Ok..then everything 'horror' became more like snuff films lol..

to me 'horror' always has a supernatural element..the others are serial killer/slasher..

oh..thought I'd mention..

some of the new crazes in hairdo's..a character with a 'zany' stylish hairdo can make me disconnect instantly. especially that emo-but-not-emo do.

Even Daryl from walking deads hairdo annoys me..just a little too well kept for a hillbilly thrust into a post apocalyptic zombie infested world.

I like a lot of films... drama and thrillers mostly.

With the odd chick flick thrown in.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

It's not a genre but True Blood put me right off the Sookie Stackhouse books, which had been favourites until that point.

The TV series doesn't follow the books and makes the entire premise ridiculous, in my opinion.

Anything to do with sci-Fi or comic books can get in the sea.

Avatar convinced me that 3D films were designed to distract people from a lack of good script writing.

If I wanted pretty graphics I'd play a playstation...

Basically anything where people are being oppressed then?

Oh and on topic:

Dubstep.

Charlatans like Skrillex absolutely ruined it.

Even Skream, one of the early masters, has completely distanced himself from what's become of the genre, and now produces and DJs house and techno.
