What is it about male changing rooms at gyms.
I go to the Gym (Total Fitness)on a regular basis but am becoming increasingly fed up with guys who insist on walking around totally naked.
Obviously the showers are open plan so you have no option but to be nude with other guys but once you have showered you can cover up.
They insist on walking to and from the shower nude, to the scales to weigh themselves nude and then stand talking nude.

Has anyone come across this at their Gym etc or am I alone

What a great idea , I am like you though, not normally into gyms.....but I think it might be worth paying the membership just for the changing rooms alone  |

Ohhh yep lets go!!!!…….however, I gotta confess I’m not too keen on all that humping heavy weights about stuff, not while attempting to look uber-cool, but secretly trying not to break wind… as ya do…!!!…….ewww

I can't say I've ever been in the men's changing room at the gym but the women's changing room is open plan and there's generally nakedness.
I guess it depends on how comfortable you around other people of the same sex. There's nothing sexual about it in my gym. It's getting showered and dressed without behaving like a schoolgirl with the getting dressed under your towel thing. I'm thinking most adults are mature enough to use facilities without being prudish about it. Or perhaps not. |

We weren't born with clothes on and its a natural state to be in. You don't have to look if you dont like them but i don't think they are trying to arouse you. |

Just been to the gym and there’s a new machine.
I only used it for an hour as I started to feel sick!
It’s damned good though - it does everything .......... KitKats, Mars bars, Snickers, crisps ........

OP I thought this through (well as much as I think things through)Supposing... a guy just stepped off the scales, naked and some other guy came to chat to him.... and naked man scurried away for a towel before answering? Wouldn't this look weird to the other bloke as if he was covering up to talk incase he was being oggled? I would have thought most men don't see the need to keep covering up 'all lads together' after all they all plunge in the bath after footie matches etc... but thats a female perspective (okay fantasy)... men don't cover up because perhaps they don't want to put out a message they think other men are turned on by them so are removing that temptation. |

I beg to differ.....I have been in the Torquay United changing room ten minutes before a match and was dragged out with my tongue scraping along the floor...
They took me in to introduce me as I was the match sponsor for the day....best money I have ever spent.

Certainly at my gym, most of the men are gay and extremely vain. They make it quite clear and are forever eyeing each other up! I've not got a problem with that.
In the ladies, no one parades around naked ever, if your towel even so slightly drops to reveal flesh, you get scowled at!
Think it must definitely a 'man' thing to parade around naked, perhaps through boasting or exhibitionism I suppose could make most men feel insecure. |
