"OP, do you have the heat turned on in your house? I think this happens more with the dry heat put out by radiators in the winter.
-Courtney "
This is what I think it is. Dry air and maybe I sleep with my mouth open. I've had it for about a year now.
I've turned the heating off at 10 pm but it's still the same. I have a glass of water by my bed and drink when I wake up dry. It's still the same.
It's a waste of energy but maybe I'll try sleeping with the window open tonight. |

I get a dry throat in the winter sometimes because of the heat. Try turning it off even earlier in the day instead of having the window open (drafts can cause illness).
I also have a lozenge with a mild anaesthetic in it in the morning when I wake up and it seems to help.

It's worse for me in the winter too I think. I don't remember it being this bad in the summer.
I think it's probably the same thing.
I'll sleep with the window slightly open today and see what happens. |

I'm quite sure Courtney is right and it's the central heating with a combination of mouth breathing...not diabetes or sleep apnoea..you could have Googled it if you wanted to diagnose yourself with a serious health problem! ! |

Try putting a cup of water on top of the radiator. This will put moisture back into the air. |
