But did you believe ?
There are a lot of perpetuated beliefs out there:
Fiat's are rust buckets; Alfa's have dodgy electrics; Man didn't land on the moon; Macs are better than Windows; Ducks make better lovers and so on ....
But did you take someone's word for it or go out and find out for yourself ?
What would persuade you to take something as gospel?
Or are you a sceptic (like me) |

I see and hear stuff repeated every day that is clearly nonsense but the person saying it believes it to be true because someone told them it was so. We all know people who firmly believe that those on benefits live the life of Riley with the latest trainers, 50 inch wide screen tellys and a new car on the drive, that you can just park your Mercedes outside a food bank, walk in and they will hand out bags of groceries, prisoners live in luxury etc, etc. It's just easier to buy in to these things than go and find out for yourself or question what you've been told.
There's a line in the song Heard It Through The Grapevine "believe half of what you see and something or nothing of what you hear" and I reckon that's about right. |

I'm sceptical by nature, but ill tend to believe people who haven't lied to me in the past.
My sister believed up until 3 years ago that shoeless singer sandy shaw owned b&bs all around the coast of the UK, despite the spelling difference of sandy shore guest house, it only took 35 years for the penny to drop bless her LOL |
