Come on all you bakers... I said I'd bake for my team tomorrow night for a meeting they have on Wednesday...
I always make banana loaf or brownies or chocolate cake. I thought I might try something different for a wee change.
Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Does it have to be sweet? I had a lush savoury muffin recently. Or just make a biscuit based cheesecake if you can't be arsed baking. Or make empanadas with whatever type of filling you fancy. Or Jamaican bun. |

Firm favourite in our house is chocolate caramel shortbread.
A meringue roulade with fresh cream and raspberry filling.
Key lime pie.
That was like torture writing all that ! As I'm being good and given up everything sweet. |

I just make cupcakes and brownies for my colleagues. My mum likes pecan pie (as do I), and my nan likes fudge.
Only make other stuff for special occasions, but then I'll have to follow recipes. |

"Apple and cinnamon muffins...mmmmm"
Oh they sound delish!
I've just found a Nigella recipe for raspberry and white chocolate muffins. It makes 12 so I might try apple and cinnamon for the second batch. |

"I love baking but I can't eat that stuff myself so only do it if someone with hollow legs is around.
But recipes with peanut butter in do it for me "
I've got three people with peanut allergies at work so I tend to steer clear of nuts. I don't eat them either so I only bake when I know there's a full house to eat them. |

Chuck fresh raspberries in your brownies- trust me.
Do lemon drizzle with buttercream in the centre and stick a tablespoon of lemon curd in the buttercream |

I know what you mean its the same for me.
I only make small quantities of stuff I know that will have other people keen to help eat. If I make muffins it'll be 6 large ones and I'll have one as my weekly treat. |

7 layer magic cookie bars. Recipe on Eaglebrand website.
Not so much baking as throw it in the pan together in the oven. Easy and addictive. Can adjust ingredients to flavors you like. ( nuts or no nuts , peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips. Or add extra things like crushed pretzels & leave out the coconut )

We made profiteroles on Sunday for youngest's school project on France.
Eldest made 3 cakes at school yesterday - lemon poppy seed, bake well, marmalade & white chocolate chip. Not tried them yet though..... |

I made fudge and apple muffins today - Apple muffin recipe on AllRecipes (Google) and I threw in some little fudge pieces.
They are AMAZING!
Even if I do say so myself!
I know the fit and healthy thread is just below this but fuck it, I'm having another! |
