It's just a word......an expression.....
My assumption is it is ......
your interpretation and your reaction identifies it as offensive and that the writer SHOULD know better.......
The writer is expressing their thoughts .....I suppose you don't have to read it...bit hard not to if it is a status update which I assume is your point....
Do we want our statuses monitored ?

I never understood being offended by cursing. Who cares? It means nothing at all if you don't care about it. And I don't. Not one bit.
I don't need to be protected from curses and bad words by not allowing them on the site. I'm a big girl, promise.

Most of the time swearing is just filler. I have little problem with it today, since I haven't an insult or swearword that a person hasn't been worthy of. But titles aren't filler, so that's bad form.

People can rant. I can choose not to meet them. Same as with some avatar pics I find unattractive and a visual affront. Or SHOUTY PROFILES! Or spelling mistakes in status updates or profile headers. They're not designed to offend me and the fact they make me wince is entirely my own problem. As to swearing on an adult site, well I have absolutely no issue with that whatsoever. |

Ok thanks all for your thoughts. What I'm trying to say is your status is a public posting if you walk down the street and swear at everyone you see the police will soon take an interest in you for your antisocial behaviour. This site is considered one of the best if not indeed the best of its kind on the web. This is largely due to the great people here and the behaviour of the people on the site. Is it not indeed right that the good behaviour should also stretch to the status banner. ????
So to the comment about me. Yes I swear in my everyday life and in post I've sent back to people and if they wish to do the same to me that's fine it it's called for but I think you don't go around swearing in public at everyone. As for the people commenting on the morality of my pics that's fine you have chosen to visit my profile and look at them they are not out on public display and indeed if the pics posted on this adult site are considered to offensive the site will take them down. I'm in no way trying to take any moral high ground here just trying to keep the public bit of the site nice for everyone. |
