I have noticed that much as certain topics get discussed then repeated over time, just so certain people will post certain styles of threads again and again. Does it serve a purpose or do we need to mix things up a little bit?
Just to be clear I'm only musing not having a go at anyone in particular |

Hmm interesting observation, I think it might just be that certain people have a particular thought process, and so, post in the same vein.
It might be that someone might regularity post, car fun, hotel meets, outdoor fun, because they can't accommodate, and are looking for ways to get round it.
For some, it might just ne that they have frighten that they posted something similar feels before (im guilty if this) and not bothered to look at posts they have put up beforehand |

Similar subjects appear time after time and peoples points of view on those subjects tend to remain the same so you get the same people saying the same thing.
After all, who really wants to know what your favourite cabbage is? |

"Everybody would stop in bed all day if pp didn't his morning thread "
I do wonder what purpose some of them serve though. Granted the morning thread is a nice thing to wake up to, but does anyone actually go and get zoya a cup of tea?! Do we care who wants a piece of what cake? |

I would have thought pinned threads would have dealt with the issue but then again, I am not sure if fab has the capacity since threads generally get closed once they reach 180 plus posts? |

The repetition of some threads are fine, the ones that do my head in are the fakes/time wasters, naming and shaming, help with my profile etc ones that really would be solved if they'd only learn to use the forum search box.
But then some already know the answers, and are just looking for attention. |

"I'm sure people get fed up of me doing the face pic friday thread every week hence why I took a back seat for a couple of weeks "
But that serves a purpose and gets people together, same as miss CCs dating thread. Sometimes I come onto the forums, scan the threads and come straight off again |

I think that's the key point; attention. To some even negative attention is better than none |

My biggest bugbear on the forums is when the thread title is something like "I love small boobs" and a woman with big boobs makes some sarcastic comment in the thread.
Read the bloody title and get over yourself. The thread isn't about you,so why the need to comment? It just really pisses me off. Makes me think they must be so self-obsessed.
Rant over |

I use the forums for fun and light entertainment. You'll mainly find me posting on similar type threads as they amuse/interest me.
I stay well away from the serious debate threads as I'm not here for that.
There are enough threads on here to suit most peoples tastes. Plus people come and go on the forums all the time which helps mix it up.
OP, I've noticed you like correcting spelling and grammar. Feel free to underline any mistakes in red pen.

" am not bothered what people post
everyone's entitled to an opinion
it's only a forum and not real life
"
I've always wondered if people aren't bothered what other people think then why comment? Surely the whole point is that its a discussion, if you post and don't care what the other posters think then its pointless posting anything. You may as well write your comment on a piece of paper and drop them directly in the bin |

"love going over and over the same stuff day after day - "
And yet the same old threads hang around and fill up whereas different and varied threads get no interest and drop off |
