I love the idea of sky burials
It's quite common in Tibet
Basically they chop up their dead and leave them for the wild life to eat
They say its cleaner for the planet plus they take from the wild life to live so give back when they die
I like that idea |

cremated idealy naked without a coffin, so its just my ashes left, then my ashes put into a part full vodka bottle, which can be buried or chucked in the sea not overly fussy so long as there is some vodka involved. |

I have a donor card so they can happily whip out any bits that may be of use to any one else .
Then bake on gas mark 10000 for as long as it takes , take out what's left and sprinkle me on my hill.
My this is a happy thread lol

There's a company that puts you in a foetal position in a biodegradable sack with chemicals that decompose you. You're then buried with a tree attached. As you decompose it feeds the tree. You become the tree.
I like that. |

Were all atoms, made from elements, made from stars, that died and exploded and gave you life, those atoms and elements don't die, they just go some place else!

Cremated in an old card box found in a skip. What's point in literally burning money. Might as well do my last bit for the environment and recycle an old box. It's not like I will care.
I want my organs donated if they can find anything that works and can save another life. X |

As long as my funeral isn't a religious based affair I'm not fussed how my body's disposed of. That's the only thing that would bother me. Not that it would bother me too much of course, because I'd be dead! Would be disrespectful to my memory though. |

Your means of disposal are irrelevant, those heavier elements were made in stars, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than the atoms in your right hand!...
You are the universe and the universe is in you!.

Although you are not planning on snuffing it anytime soon but you never know what is gonna happen. You could easily get ran over by a double decker bus, a plane could fall from the sky... although these are unlikely but the extremely small chance is still there. Trust me, I know that better than anyone, sadly. I've been on the receiving end of just that myself. That's one of the reasons why I really must look into it. It's never too early to start planning. |

Cremation,I'm not one for visiting the graves of deceased loved ones,and I wouldn't want to put the obligation onto my kids and grandkids.
Cremation,ashes scattered and hopefully remembered in their thoughts for good things rather than my faults |

This is what the missus said. She leave her body & organs to medical science. I said they could have whatever was left of me that was still working - except my corneas, I have a bit of a thing about my eyes.
She shot back at me, "Is that so you can see Hell?"

Strip me for parts, including corneas, then after that I'll have a cremation with a normal religious funeral. I want weeping, black veils and Abide With Me (and then all my friends and family to get pissed and have a ginormous buffet). |

Just at the moment of my death I want to be be frozen in carbonite, then launched into the vastness of space and float through the universe for eternity.
You never know in a few million year's some higher beings may find me and bring me back to life and make me young again.
Alternatively and far cooler would be pulled into the gravity of a star and burned to nothingness by the power of that star. |

Any that can be of use to the living will be donated, the rest cremated. I don't understand anyone that believes in organ donation withholding certain parts like eyes. They could restore someone's sight, how amazing would that be! Why leave them to rot instead? |
