Been going round and round in circles decoding what to do for valentines weekend with the Mr. .
So what you all got planned or any suggestions of somewhere nice in the UK to go for a couple of nights? X

I'm gonna have a lovely weekend to myself. I've actually written 'make no plans' in my calendar!
I have lots on this weekend and last weekend was mental so I'm doing as little as possible. I'll do the Valentine's thread (cause I'm a romantic!) and then I'm gonna watch the Baftas. |

"Plans for actual valentines weekend? We have none. We do what we want all year round . we give each other token gifts and I won't meet a home for NSA on that day apart from that that is all"
That hits the nail on the head for me. I don't feel depressed cause I'm single on Valentine's Day... I actually never feel depressed cause I'm single... I love a bit of romance but I like romance all year round.
I used to work in a florists on specific occasions and Valentine's Day was my favourite. It gives me a proper kick seeing other people happy.
And roses are soooo overpriced. My advice for the romantics... make something. Be thoughtful and make it personal because that'll earn you way more brownie points than roses will. |

Not doing a thing. I'm on the shelf, spinster of the parish.
The only date on offer is one from a box in the fruit section.
Its a lot of consumer shite. Plenty people send flowers to themselves, and pretend. |

"Oh and on the actual day, I'm out for a romantic Sunday lunch for 10..
Is that your polite way of telling us you're having a gangbang? "
Hahahaha...I'm not sure the pub allows that kind of shenanigans |

We're thinking about going out to xtasia Saturday night, but otherwise a pretty standard quiet weekend from us. We do romance as often as we're together (being apart makes even the grumpiest guys a hopeless romantic ) so we try not to go out for valentine's because everywhere's too busy and overpriced!

Seeing some art thing and dinner out. It's the first time I've spent it with someone I'm in a relationship with, I've always been away for work or single, so I'm looking forward to it. |

I'll be going into town people watching, looking for the guys frantically searching for the expected gift. And trying to be romantic under pressure, and also the ones who have that satisfied grin on their faces, because they have taken the time to listen to their significant other. And know exactly what to get them.
I'm single, so ill.be quite relaxed on the 14th knowing that I can keep around £200 safely in my pocket, unless I buy myself a second hand ps4, that would be a gift to the one I love LOL |

There is a lovely art deco cinema in Hertfordshire (The Rex) where you get to sit at tables rather than rows of seats and they serve wine and cheese. So we're going to see Star Wars (again) there on Saturday . I'll confess it's the only day it's showing and nothing to do with valentines day though! |

Last year I was with someone and he came to see me in the Vagina Monologues (so I was with all my friends and loved ones), did me a treasure hunt and promised he wouldn't break up with me.
This year I'm probably going to be pretending it isn't happening. Tempted to have a social media black out until it's over! |

Why feel preasured for this Hallmark holiday? We celebrate our love all year round not when it's expected of us when the price of everything shoots up for one day only |
