i like benedorm , blackpool with sun. if i had spare cash i would a property in spain as i think prices will rise again, as the IS threat in tunisa etc , there is a increase in holiday bookings in spain |

I was hoing to say its like Blackpool with sun.It is tacky but good for a stag party etc, but not the sort of place I would want to go for a two week holiday. |

Spain is most definately on the map for ISIS
Not only is it a 'soft' target for tourists, they also have a major issue with how the Spanish dealt with Arabs historically and seek revenge for this.
I was in Madrid last weekend and the policing is visible to say the least.
Spain is well aware of the threat it faces even if it hasn't made it into the media here just yet. |

we loved Benidorm entertainment second to none, too many mobility scooters but there u cant have everything. We went in October when our favoured place Cap D'agde in france got a bit cold and closed |

Benidorm is nice to visit. Go and visit the old town. Yes I agree it has tacky parts. New town...go and visit Marianos for food and Yorkshire pride food and drinks. Out of town the city is great Alicante is amazing plus a village called calpe on the outskirts of Benidorm. Plenty of hidden gems around

Never fancied it. Never been on a resort holiday. I can't abide the English abroad. I go on holiday for peace & quiet and to escape from everyday life.

Used to own a property outside Benidorm, near a place called Altea.
If you want great entertainment and bars, you cant wrong with Benidorm, esp the old town.
Next towns along, Calpe, Altea where lots of celebs live
Plus Benidorm has one of the best beaches in Europe. |

New Town - you are in Benidorm - Stags and Hens and stacks of people enjoying themselves day and night !
We "do both" - end of night we end up at the New Town for good music and a laugh !
We were snobs that "didnt do Benidorm" - we tried it and enjoyed it so much we have been back a few times !! |

The place is great and you can get a mix of all things. The entertainment is amazing, it's always friendly and fun and I've never seen any trouble.
Great place to relax and have fun. Been 3 times on my own and loved it. |
