So love watching Documentaries, I will admit usually crime related ones but not always. So what are some of the best you have seen ?

Some of mine, in no order are....

Grizzly Man: An animal activist is killed by the bears he loves

Child Of Rage: A six-year-old victim of Reactive Attachment Disorder tells her story

The Iceman Tapes,

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a son about his father

Blackfish- Shocking docu about killer whales and SeaWorld

The Cove- Unbelievable docu about Dolphin hunting, some very sickening scenes

Many more that the names escape me at present. I bear no responsibility if someone watches these and are shocked by the contents

There was a great one on Richard Kuklinski (The Iceman) who Michael Shannon portrayed. That guy was so dark. He was practically a serial killer under the guise of a mob hitman. He felt nothing for the people he killed. Was only ever haunted by how his family reacted when he was caught and exposed.

The Century of the Self

This series is about how those in power have used Freud's theories to try and control the dangerous crowd in an age of mass democracy.

Did anyone see the one on BBC last night about the 14 yr old boy groomed and killed by an 18yr old gamer? Truly shocking, and his poor parents, not sure what else they could have done. Feel for his poor Dad, he will blame himself for the rest of his life

This for me too. Do like the ones where the perpetrators believe they are smarter than anyone else, especially law enforcement and get cocky/sloppy...and caught!

Cropsey ...... Amazing, watched it loads of times. There are some really good documentaries / docudramas on Netflix, some really good Charles Manson stuff.

Anything true crime and serial killer for me, I soak it all up. But I also watch anything and everything Agatha Christie or Arther Conan Doyle amongst a lot of other crime programmes and films

One of The last tricks up hitlers sleeve was The doodlebug, I remember my mum and dad Telling me while they were both out in London when my dad was on leave, one came down just up the street, It was Carnage outdoors, with glass and rubble everywhere, and gas mains Ignited also at least one dead person, when reading About such history the desire to beat The enemy and see actual footage relateing to that and other things is One hell of a package..

Did anyone watch Murder Games on BBC 3. It's currently on iPlayer but I know they repeated it last night. A couple of weeks ago there was a good one on channel 4 i think about the Manchester Pusher, that was good too.

I also love anything with David Attenborough, he's such a legend, and all the mythical beast programmes like Finding Bigfoot .... I find the origins of the myths fascinating

Only skimmed through this thread if you are into things that tie local human issues in with the environment and global policies then I really suggest finding anything done by Simon Reeve.

His earlier stuff is excellent, since he has become a little more of a known name he now does bigger series such as a three part one on the Caribbean and Australia.

Personally I love his two part series on the tea and coffee trade.

Might sound boring but they are genuinely interesting to watch for an hour.

Life and death row on the I player and on catch up is absolutely brilliant. Each one is different and you get to see some parts of the trial and the actual crime scene.
