"I'm a manager at work and one of the younger girls who works for me has said she wants some fun x
Tempting....
Shall I get something going or is it too close to home?"
With a woman junior to you at work?
Avoid! Avoid like your life depends on it.
Getting involved with someone at work can be problematic enough but a male manager and one of his female staff? Bad idea. Really bad.
Just think what would happen if it went pear-shaped. |

Are you sure she didn't mean a day at the funfair and a couple of ice creams?
Just imagine being the other people who work for you, knowing she has an intimate relationship with the boss that will help her get the best jobs, no reprimands, and possible promotion. |

I couldn't imagine allowing myself to get into that situation.
If somehow I did get into that situation and I said yes, I would lose my professional credibility with everyone I work with.
Not a chance would I ever do that. |

In what way do you see this ending well?
Yes you shag her over your desk.
Then she starts turning up late, slacking, asking for days off. Other staff complain you treat them unfavourably.
Next thing it goes to HR or she threatens something.
Always keep work and pleasure seperate. |

"Depends how much you value your job and future career "
Also if your work place frowns upon work place relations, But if they don't care and you are both free and single why not, You are both adults,
It's really down to you and her no on else |

That's a massive trap, man!
Maybe if she no longer worked there before she mentioned it, but you being a manager, massive breach of trust and also the legal shit she could pull is unreal. |

"Huge breach fucking hell just keep ya dick in your trousers "
Surely it depends on the circumstances and as we only know he is some sort of manager and she works for him and is younger,
Are managers not allowed a sex life even if it is in the work place? |

"So basically she's playing a game then?
She just after some compo not cock?"
She may be after cock, but whether or not she's thinking about it now, it will occur to her that shagging her manager could get her other benefits at some point.
Your other staff may see you showing her favour, even if you aren't.
And if you do anything she doesn't like - not paying her enough attention, or spending enough time with her, for example - just think what she could possibly use as leverage to get what she wants.
Do you really want to put yourself in that position and open yourself up to being pressured? |

He wouldn't necessarily be doing anything wrong but imagine the claims she could make if it doesn't work out to her liking. And it's then his word against hers.
There would have to be an investigation. Even if he was exonerated, it would be embarrassing and stressful. And mud sticks. |

Well I wouldn't risk it. The OP asked for our advice. That's mine.
You disagree with me. That's fair enough. |

Yes they are but not with the staff they are supposed to be managing.
Clouds judgement and can cause all sorts of internal issues. |

Not necessarily; she might be innocent or stupid; but that might be the case;
But also; if you haven't worked this out for yourself; the rest of the people you manage will find out one way or another; then there wil be all sorts of shit in your section/ team, you will be unable to manage, lead or discipline them, and lose whatever credibility you have.
As a departmental director, in the past, I have fired a couple of managers for doing just what you are contemplating. |

In my eyes a leader should never take from their team. A manager should never help themselves to what their employees have. They're there to do a job and they get what they work for. Management is there to support them, not to have their way with them. |

"For all we know he's the manager of Big Ted's Car Wash.
"
That's the point I was making, We don't know the circumstances or what type of manager he is, Some people seem to think he has some sort of moral duties just because he is over her and she is some stupid girl,
Anyway that is my opinion just like everyone has had theirs |

Of course you are allowed your opioion I've just seen the fall out and carnage that a manager employee relationship has caused. Of course there has been success stories but I just find it all murky waters to play in |

Does she want a date/relationship or just a quick fumble behind the filing cabinet?
If it's the former, spend some time together and see what develops, if it's the latter, chances are it will end up wrongly and you could be looking for another job.

It doesn't matter whether it's the Bank of England or " Teds car wash"
He most certainly does have a moral responsibility to her, because he is her superior, and it's irrelevant if she may (or may not be) a stupid girl. |

Clearly a big mistake but nothing you don't know already. The sexual harassment case could cause you issues with finding a new job too as you know.
Read what everyone had to say... and keep your dick in your pants is my honest advise too. |
