Not in use here in south England.
Scunnered - A word used to mean that you are world weary, down-trodden, and thoroughly bereft of any lust for life when these words and expressions are simply too inadequate to signify the magnitude of your slide into "shitdom".

Scunnered is an old Scots word, still in use in north east scotland, it means being fed up or sick of something, or feel sick at the sight of something.. |

And up here in Scotland it means that you've had too much of something... like "I've scunnered myself with bacon sandwiches"... that's never likely to happen though. You can never have too many bacon sarnies!!!

Ballymena is a very Scottish influenced area, the northern Irish accent shares many phonetic traits in common with Scottish.. So makes sense. |

The word Scottish comes from a Roman term for an Irish tribe from the coast of antrim.. The scoti.. That colonised Scotland .
The Irish and Scottish are linked inexorably is soooo many ways. |
