"Who or what created the universe and how was it created."
Maybe nothing exists outside the confines of your imaginings...maybe 'we' are all inventions of yours |

The universe was created by buddha about 4000 years ago. He was arm-wrestling with Amy Winewarehouse and farted due to the strain, hence the term "the big bang".
Now, where did I put my medication? |

Surely the original question has little relevance against the greater merits of considering who or what created the entire Multiverse, which everyone knows contains many, many singular universes including that of our own…..
Really... sigh...,,, I mean who on earth can even be bothered to rearrange their marbles and ponder anything of such a mind limiting scenario, as the creation of a singular universes these days…..….. tut tut

ask a squirrel what the time is he won't have a clue.

hmmmm well i wonder lol. If God created the universe then who created god....if the universe was created by a collision between an atom and a neutron ..then who or what created the atom and the neutron ...if we were created by aliens from a distant solar system who or what created them Some one or rather something is responsible. Has anybody got a headache yet

"Who or what created the universe and how was it created."
With so many apparently random events, constantly changing conditions and un-answered questions it had to have been a female entity...and I guess it's then our fault that the questions remain un-answered.
Off to apply for a job at Sky... |

The universe has always existed. It wasn't created. By anyone or anything. It's just simply always been there and always will.
How do I quantify that statement?
The Earth has a finite mass. It weighs a certain amount give or take a few million tonnes. More people are born as time passes (time: another non-existent medium created by man to justify his own existence) which means less mass available for other forms of life (food, animal, mineral etc). Something has to give.
The same applies to the universe. It has a finite amount of matter with which to create suns, planets, moons, life.
It also has chaos.
Random explosions that destroy galaxies but which, in turn, creates galaxies from the residue matter of what went before.
Why does man seek to define a start and an end to the universe?
Because we are vain enough to believe that the universe could not possibly exist without us in it.
The universe with be around forever, in one form or another, but it may or may not contain humanity. And that's what really pisses some people off. |

Personally, I recon it was all down to blind chance... or in the case of the government, possibly out of spite!
To be honest, if there is a God, I recon after looking hard at the world he (or she) must have been a heavy drinker or have a very strange sense of humour... |

hmmmm still begs the question how did it get to exist and also ....
why do we ask the question? |

"[Removed by poster at 01/02/11 01:22:26]"
Nothing exists...not outside my imagination. Everything I hear, see, touch, feel, taste...all products of my imagaination. Every new thing I learn is just another notion...it doesn't exist til I think it. Therefore, nothing I don't know exists...until I 'dream' it and give it life. Nothing exists without me making it exist...therefore I must be God...still...you would say that wouldn't you? |

If there is a Universe (and it's not all imagined!) then there is probably a Multiverse, infinate numbers of universes. Why are we so vain to think that our universe is the only one with a big bang.
If there is a multiverse then every possible scenario of our Universes existence will be happening or has happened elsewhere. When you decided to get up this morning in another Universe you decided to stay in bed and in another you died in your sleep etc etc.
If that's the case then somewhere in the Multiverse your reading this post and completely agreeing with it, somewhere else your cursing it as nonsense.
Actually if it's true then somewhere in the Multiverse we have had sex, in fact we've all had sex with everyone on here!
(Its easier to just believe in God, my little brain can't handle it.......unless my brain imagined it all and.......oh no, there I go again.

That's easy, God was born in a stable in another universe and when he grew up he created this one....or did I just imagine that, and because I've just imagined it is it real? (I've been drinking red wine all afternoon!) |

very valid indeed dances. I like the idea that the Universe is finite as donut shaped because one day we could maybe fully explore it and find out everything about it but can physics really be decided by philosophy, only time can tell.

The whole universe was in a hot dense state,
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait...
The Earth began to cool,
The autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unravelling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang!
"Since the dawn of man" is really not that long,
As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song.
A fraction of a second and the elements were made.
The bipeds stood up straight,
The dinosaurs all met their fate,
They tried to leap but they were late
And they all died (they froze their asses off)
The oceans and pangea
See ya wouldn't wanna be ya
Set in motion by the same big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!
It's expanding ever outward but one day
It will cause the stars to go the other way,
Collapsing ever inward, we won't be here, it wont be hurt
Our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang!
Australopithecus would really have been sick of us
Debating out while here they're catching deer (we're catching viruses)
Religion or astronomy, Encarta, Deuteronomy
It all started with the big bang!
Music and mythology, Einstein and astrology
It all started with the big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!

i think the big bang was created by a atom and neutron explosion,,,,what created the atom and the neutron, the scientists say dark matter.
problem is dark matter cannot been seen or measured, so does it actually exist?? its just something scientists dreamt up to make there incorrect calculations and theories add up. |
