Anyone know how long before a nail regrows?

When i was helping a mate move, he managed to drop his washing machine on the end of one of my fingers, and badly bruised it and the finger nail went completely black. Now the finger has nearly healed, the fingernail has fallen off. Anyone know how long before the nail will grow fully back?.

lost most of my toe nails once... didnt take that long to grow back, a few weeks i think.

I've lost a few in my time, yeah a couple of weeks but it might not be that same!!

should only be a few weeks unless there was any nerve damage and then it might not grow back at all

may take about six weeks for it to grow back fully.
