Definitely off to man city. Not really a surprise
How do we think he'll get on?
Premier league a lot more competitive than other leagues he's managed in. |

Unfortunately for him.... his arrival at city is set to coincide with a resurgence in the fortunes of Newcastle United and Sunderland AFC who will share all the available silverware both domestically and on the European stage for the next few years......
But yeah he'll do OK... |

There is no guarantee his brand of football will work in the Premiership....lots of teams will press and show less respect than his has experienced in Spain and Germany... |

I agree
Can't wait to see him put a team out in the FA Cup...a nice cold, wet night down at Gillingham.
Where's the grass Pep says...mud lad.. only mud here. |

Agree it's easy to win in countries where there is little competition, it shows when ronaldo and messi score shit loads a year yet give them a World Cup or euros and they aren't as good.
Just because you're good one place don't make you amazing else where or a different league.
Mind you man city can afford to buy the league again. |

Sound like there are some bitters
Pep had led his teams to success in the uefa cup, against other class opposition.
The premier league is, as they say, a whole other ball game, but I think he'll bring another dimension to the City set up.
It was inevitable, really, considering the Barcelona connection
I wish Manuel all the best, wherever he goes, as he brought class and stability to city after the Italian passion of Mancini |

Barca and Bayern win every week irrespective of who the manager is.
They were winners before he got there and they'll continue to win after he's moved on.
I'll bet Kate's knickers shitty don't win the league next year |

I actually think he will struggle at city, their squad is already past it's peak (IMO). Man city are also not as star studded as his previous two squads.
I could be wrong or just hating... |

Great managers have the ability to build a good team, not just once, but time and time again. Lets see how long he sticks around.
You never see the so called great managers taking a job with a team like Leicester or Watford, they only ever want to walk into a team who is already established at the top where money is no object. |

My ex hates football, but confirmed today that she is now a Manchester City fan with a "Phroahhhh"........she never reacted like that to me. So apart from looks, money, charm, style and ability, what does the boy have going for him?
