If you receive bad service from a shop, restaurant etc, do you feel the need to complain about it to make them aware of it, or are you too embarrassed to?.
Personally speaking, i tend to complain when it's really bad service. Currys and sports direct.com are the two ive had to complain to because their service was appalling. |

I have sent more food back as it wasnt to my liking than i have hot dinners! In my opinion you pay for food it should be cooked as you want it not how someone else feels you should want it. |

I too have no compunction in complaining if service is shoddy or food is bad, but I'm also the first to praise if it's good, and leave a hearty tip if it is. |

Most galling is going out for a meal and knowing you can cook it better yourself, if it's not done properly I do tell them quietly and agree how much they are going to get paid . |

i don't consider it complaining if i have been given bad service...I'm exercising my rights.
A business that wishes to continue will not be offended by you pointing out where it needs improvement....a good manager would rather know how to make you come back rather than tell your friends not to go.

I believe people should complain in a controlled, quiet manner if the situation warrants it ... having said that, I'd be a bit worried sending food back to the kitchen in a restaurant just in case they spat in it before sending it back. I've watched those programmes! |

I have no qualms in complaining, and Curry's was a recent one. They charge you a premium for timed delivery and don't show up. When I complained I was told as I'd ordered "small" goods it was comimg by courier so couldn't guarantee delivery! No mention of that when they charge £10 for timed deliver slots!
I always need to send my steak back as I eat it rare and it's always overcooked. |

Its a complain culture if you dont complain you dont get discounts i complained about a water drainage bill i wrote back to nw utilities saying the wording of there letter was causing me some stress it was bordering on harrassment.
I got a letter back saying In light of your complaint we have credited you the amount for this years bill which was if i can remember around £450.00....Try it |

Yes and pizza hut in gloucester has got to be the worst, sat there waiting and waiting, 45 mins later people that had arrived at the same time we did, had eaten and left. When we reminded them we hadnt eaten, they came with the food but no cutlery for my pasta, we got half our money back
Best service for me is always Telewest and British Gas for their servicing department, and i tell them too |

If it's just poor/bad service, I am unlikely to complain... I'll just go somewhere else in future and if I will be going somewhere else in future, why would I want to give them feedback to help them improve their business.... fuck 'um!
If somewhere pisses me off and I usually like the place, yes I will tell them.
As 'they' say.... feedback is a gift. I am selective about who I give my gifts to. |
