"Morrisons meat tends to be better than that in most other supermarkets, I'm told.
Is there anything else they are above average for?"
I've found their meat to be crap if I'm honest, it's not hung for long enough and tends to be tough. Most supermarkets tend to be the same. I either get mine from a butcher of shoot it myself.
Their selection of Polish cured sausages is good and their black pudding is excellent though. |

I'm wondering now if I can get away with going in my PJs. I don't have a school run to do and feel left out. |

I love custard and I like an odd donut, but these two just don't go together, it looks like a spunk donut !"
Ewww. That would put me off the idea even if I liked custard! |

A lot of Morrison's meat is packed in a factory a couple of miles from my house. One of my mates is a manager there.
Last year, I believe that the factory supplied to a few supermarkets, not just Morrison's. Now they deal with Morrison's exclusively. I'd argue that meats are probably more or less the same quality regardless of which supermarket you choose (especially the cheaper ranges), since the factory have supplied meats to many supermarkets in the past. |

There's plenty of more reasons to shop at Morrisons! I like the cakes and cream buns they sell in their pâtisserie |

Possibly. I'm going on what I've been told by others. I don't have a Morrisons nearby so I haven't tried their meat. |

they use a better choice of leaves
the leaves tesco use are a bit chewy "
Are you sure you bought them from the salad section and not the garden centre, by mistake? |

The only amazing thing I recall having from Morrison's was some cheese. Just before Christmas they had Wensleydale (Ay, Grommit, lad!) with blueberries and cranberries. It was lovely. |

I've also heard that Morrison's meat is better. I don't know if it's true though. I'm inclined to believe that it's not true.
However, I'm a vegetarian so I wouldn't know! |

"PS I have never had a bad bit of meat out of Morrisons, but have out of other supermarkets. They have a great selection of cheese "
I've had some absolutely dreadful meat from Asda. I won't buy meat there now. I miss high streets with proper butchers' shops. |

I used to shop in the SM with that name every week....it wasn't until I stopped shopping there that I realised I hadn't been ill since. Then spoke to someone who worked there and was put off buying their meat for life. ( obviously she could have been making it up and it could have just been in that shop alone but added to me not being ill anymore it seemed to go hand in hand ) |

Balsamic dressing... they do really good stuff that I've never seen anywhere else.
I've not tried them for meat though so that's good to know. I generally go to M&S or Sainsburys if I'm not going near one of the farm shops. I wouldn't buy red meat from Asda again, once was sufficient. |

Supermarket meat is poor quality compared to most high street butchers and farm shops, maybe cheaper, but you get what you pay for, we prefer to support our local farmers and traders, not some super company sucking the life out of local businesses! |

I cant recall the number but it was 6 or 8 are due to be closing, I know cos me mate works there and he brought me the letter, then I bumped into another pal who is a night manager who told me the rest. I don't think its just southern stores think it is nationwide. They just cant compete with the likes of Aldi |

They are shit they never have anything in stock...they do have good offers but they changed that match and more scheme so it's virtually impossible to get a £5 off vouchers now without spending a small fortune |

I get my fuel from morrisons so I get the vouchers quite often.
I like the fact that they sell some of the really cheap cuts of meat like meaty bones and lamb ribs that you can't get everywhere - they're perfect for the slow cooker.
And the bargain bin is very handy too. |

I've found their meat to be tops too. If you can't get a thick enough steak go to butcher counter and ask.... I did this with ribeye steak when a friend said she wanted "bigger" steaks than we normally had.....I came back with two steaks, 2nhalf inches thick and weighing over a kilo each....was funny watching her eat hers! Put an end to fund hat night tho,,,with chips, veg and JD sauce......, we couldn't feckin move afterwards! |

I lived near a Costco in Hampshire. The nearest now are London or Milton Keynes - over 100 miles away. I miss it |

"Strangely, I've always found their meat to be sub par whenever my ex shopped there. Veg was alright, though. " yes i find the steak in there is tough, aldi meat better, veg is overpriced, beef tomatoes 79p each , local market 35p, find morrisons bread good, but like most big chains tend to spin a lot of bullshit

I shop at Morrisons almost every week day. Our store has just had a revamp and added a children's clothing range. I liked their special Christmas puddings. The meat is fine, for supermarket meat. It doesn't taste inferior to the butchers' meat. |

I like the ambience in our store. It's not too big and feels cosy; probably something to do with the lighting. Asda and Tesco make my anxiety bad at times, because they are big and bright. I potter around in Morrisons and they have expanded their kitchen utensils range |

I've just tried some of their peppered beef with a salad. Fucking hell, more like napalm beef! I think it's burnt my tongue off.
I'll probably end up throwing it away because it's far too hot for me. Shame, as it's lovely beef. |

I might be wrong but I think all Morrisons meat is british, hence why they didn't get caught up in the Horse thingy as it was traceable..
I know a guy who drives the sheep to the slaughter house and he says it's very professional... Always have a vet on site.. |
