Perfume story of a murderer largest orgy in cinema?

By accident I caught the film "perfume - story of a murderer"
Ann odd by compelling film that at one point shows a whole town indulging in one mass orgy in the town square.
I cannot recall ever having seen such a large prolonged sex scene on screen before.
Has anyone else seen this and/or recall anything similar.

Thanks, if it were not for having Alan Rickman and dustin Hoffman in the cast I might have skipped watching it in favour of something else as (they billed it as) horror is not my normal film choice. |

Did anyone spot that Ben Whishaw's character was autistic ? As for orgies I'm sure Caligula has orgies. It's about Roman hedonism. It's got Helen Mirren in her twenties too  |

Chocolat is a girl's film. In the nicest possible way. Perfume is very different.
