I reckon it's a way to stop those with colds and sniffles from wasting their time. By the time their appointment comes round they're all better  |

And they wonder why people turn up to A&E.
Btw I don't condone people doing this....
But if you can't get an appointment, feeling poorly, not suffering man/woman flu or any other known minor ailment; not knowing what the hell is going on with your body, then what would you do?

True story:
East end doctor walks into his surgery to see the usual suspects sitting in the waiting room, he nods good morning as he walks through. All of a sudden he stops , turns around and looks at one of the patients sitting there. "Good morning Mr Cohen, I haven't seen you for a while, have you been ill"? |

if you tell them your symptoms they can either diagnosed, say whether you need an emergency appointment or whether it can wait till the next free appointment.

My surgery, you can now book online apts, 3months in advance.love it as can get to see the Drs I prefer. If need a same day apt; I've learnt go on 745am that's when their set up.

I would say it is an urgent matter. You will need to take a sample of semen into your doctors surgery. Don't let this matter go. Hope your results are clear. |

Two weeks? Is that all? Where we are depending on your problem it could take up to a month. Tbf the drs here give you kickass painkillers to subdue any pain your in regardless of doing tests to find out what's wrong with you. |

Spoke the the Dr...he wants to see me pretty quick, so Tomorrow 4:10 .. 
it used to be an Apple a day that kept the Dr away now it's the frigging receptionists  |

Took 2 other drs to finally test me for reasons I'd be in pain, just thought it was funny as lived on my own at the time and the Dr gave me painkillers that made me drowsy while having my then 2yo. All of which the dopey woman knew! |

Ring up any time after 9am and you'll be lucky to get an appointment within the next two weeks.
Ring up at 8am and you'll be seen either the same day or the next. |

That's the way at my surgery.. Tried ringing at 8, engaged all of the time. |
