The right place |
My job means I regularly stay in hotels, I recently met someone in London that was also there for work. If we hadn't got chatting about something else we wouldn't have discovered that we were both going to be near by. Our profiles have us living in different parts of the country.
Who else travel a lot for work? |

I've done my fair share of staying in hotels, a different one nine nights on the trot a couple of days off then start again, all summer, couldn't wait to get home to get your home comforts and simple food. Jim

I do it occasionally, as does Lee, we now usually manage to wangle it so that we end up together .
Did it myself in the 90s in the UK while working as an internal auditor, as I'm an introvert I don't tend to strike up conversations with strangers in hotel bars, so I wasn't a fan. Stopped travelling after my son was born, my employer facilitated me working mostly within travelling distance of home. |

"Do you meet many people on your travels?"
Don't often meet folk from here, but have struck up some great conversations with other lonely bar residents in hotels |

"I do and I hate it. Nobody approaches me as I always have some papers with me to entertain myself in the bar. "
I'll remember this if I see you in a bar with papers |

I don't travel with work often, but usually try to make plans when I do. I tend to know quite far in advance so it's doable. There's nothing like a luxury central London premier inn |

I worked as a shop fitter when I was younger and had an east end B&B booked for us.
The condom machine on the wall in reception really set the tone for that place |

I travel the length and breadth of the U.K. and Ireland. I hate being away from my kids and the loneliness is shit. Often post my location on here I'd be more than happy to have some female company for dinner and a drink. No expectations. |

I'm down in Cardiff a couple of days a week, and have been for 2 years.
It can be a real drag at times, others a wonderful distraction, and it has given me the opportunity to meet some lovely people |

I'don't, but I do chat to plenty of guys that come to my area regularly.
I have no interest in the guys that say there in a hotel do I want to meet now, but if someone is planning activities for when they are in a certain area more than happy with.
