A pet is part of the family, and she could be very attached to her hamster, so I can understand.

If something happens to my cat or dog, I too would be very upset.

Thats made me chuckle

Someone once rang in sick because her husbands snoring had kept her awake and she could'nt possibly come in as she was too tired

"My mate knew someone who worked in a hospital & got them to put his arm in plaster. Got him 3 weeks in the pub!"

How does that work??

YOu have to submit a sick note after five days ?

Does he have a doc for a mate too ?

Think it's taken as read that you're unfit for work with an arm in plaster, especially on a building site!

I think that it's technically stealing from your employers but everyone must have done this at least once or twice in their lives! It's not something I need to do as if I'm feeling a bit under the weather I just work from home! A chap I worked with many years ago got a week off as hig granny had died - e was spotted in town with her a few months later - doh! Z
