What are your favourite beauty items, what tips can you pass on to other fabsters to keep them looking gorgeous.

I have discovered 2 items recently. Firstly E-Salon, an online hair colourist programme. You fill out the profile, telling them about skin tone, eye colour, amount of grey, hair condition etc, send them a photo of you, and they will create a personalised colour. I assumed it was all advertising rubbish but thought Id give it a go as it was half price first order. It arrived fairly quickly considering it comes from America and I love it. My hair is a great colour, grey covered, glossy and natural looking.

The other product is Snail Gel, a moisturiser made from the deposits snails leave. My skin on the face does feel soft and skin feels hydrated, the product smells gorgeous and foundation glides on easily after it. Bought from Holland and Barrett.

So what are your top tips

I found a matt topcoat nail varnish that works a treat. So my shiny bronze has become an antique slightly metallic brown and I really like it. Oh, and the Blistex intensive moisturiser is the best lip balm I have ever found and in this weather much welcomed.

I saw snail gel in Holland and Barrett, the thought made me feel a bit bleurgh.

I like the cut your toenails tip, so much neater than just chewing them off.

Vitamin E.

Pierced the capsule take the gunge out, smear the gunge all over your face.

Sleep then wash it off the next morning.

Bern doing that since my teens.

No wrinkles and makes you look years younger.

The best concealer I've ever tried (out of a lot of the big brands and some very expensive ones) is about £4 from Collection (used to be called collection 2000). Colour range is shit, but it's such a good concealer.

I felt the same about the snail gel at first and it does sound strange but I do like it.

Think I'm going to try the vitamin E suggestion

Face cream Aldi yup Aldi Lacura caviar omg! I'm

a clarins girl well was till I bought this last week. It was recommended to me so as January is a bit tight I thought I would give it a go.

You only need a slight amount or I feel it's a bit sticky but my skin is still glowing and soft even better still I've saved myself £60 on buying the clarins serum.

Next gel foot socks they look like normal socks without the toes and the inside is a solid gel, stick a

Good moisturiser on ya feet at night then the sock take off in the morning and you have soft subtle feet.

Good product for those in jobs on your feet all day at work.

I'm sure I've put worse on my face , my grandmother swore by wiping her face with the babies nappy (only wee) and she looked very young for years. She also never touched her face with water only ever glycerine and rose water. However my dad (her son) looks about 20 years younger than his age and has never had anything near his face but soap, water and shaving cream .

Can anyone recommend a lotion or potion that can reduce wrinkle appearance? I'm only 33 but just lately have really notices wrinkles around my eyes

There are lots of products out there that claim to help but I don't want to spend a small fortune on something that doesn't work!!

Oil rinsing. I had a few issues with my crows feet and this made it dissappear. And the nose to mouth lines too..

Put a hot,wet steamy flannel on the face to open pores for about 30 seconds. Then put oil on your hands rub together and put on face. Leave for a couple of minutes then scrub off with flannel. Splash cold water on skin then apply 2-3 drops of oil again.

It puffs out the wrinkles nicely and does a really good cleanse at the same time. Saw this on the instructables website. She looks about 20, but it's much much older... Have a search and be shocked!

Cheap! You can use any oil. I tend to use coconut oil for both cleansing and moisturising. But you can use say... Olive to cleanse and almond to moisturise. Great to the neck too... I'm at the age where I am getting worried about my neck.

I did this and people were screaming.... You look different... What have you done? I just smiled to myself... He he he.

Men - moisturise after shaving - I use E45 Lotion mixed with a touch of aqueous cream. Cheaper than expensive scented moisturiser and just as good.

If you shave your pubes - try Nair hair removal cream - you can get a tube for £1 in either Home Bargains or B&M Bargains - always mix them up as they're next door to eachother where I shop lol

now i like the sound of that - ive found mostly due to sensitive skin over the years its best to keep things simple - things like witch hazel - rose water and basic aqueous cream - im not over wrinkly but the neck is starting to age and around the eyes a bit -

Active Manuka honey (the strong stuff, 16+ should be the bare minimum). I wash my face in warm water to open the pores, then pat dry. I then apply the Manuka with my fingers and work into my skin like a face wash and leave for a few minutes. Rinse off and dry.

Within two days it significantly reduce my gram negative foliculitis and it's improving every day. My skin is also better hydrated and less red. I've also been able to stop the antibiotics I've been on the the past decade (for acne).

Wow Mincs. The skin looks goooood od... I'm impressed. Seriously. Never used the Advanced night repair, But the foundation is good. Estee Lauder used to have a brand called prescriptives that used to match my foundation even more closely. Alas prescriptives are no more....

For the second time round I leave the oil on for a couple of minutes or do something else meanwhile like cup of tea/do hair etc. I then will pat off the excess oil if I've splashed on too much. You really should be sparing at this stage so there is less to dab off.

There is one thing I will mention though. People who do this will get the odd pimple in the first few days/weeks. This is to be expected. Regardless of skin type. The woman on the instructables website advised this and mentioned toxins coming out of the body (I don't know about this but it works).

It happened to me. It was two (definitely no more than three) spots in my case, and then smooth skin.

Don't be scared of you have a history of greasy skin. I have a history of greasy skin too!

Look at instructables....then go for...Wash-Your-Face-With-Oil/

There is a list of oils...Maybe try another oil before moving onto coconut...

"Can anyone recommend a lotion or potion that can reduce wrinkle appearance?

He he he.

I am going to try this it's a bit late for my neck but if it slows things down that's only good. I have a jar of coconut oil doing nothing. Do you leave the oil on second time round, I have very oily skin at the best of times?

Look at instructables....then go for...Wash-Your-Face-With-Oil/

There is a list of oils...Maybe try another oil before moving onto coconut...

"

Will do, thank you.
