Jealous! Get on a Safari in the Kruger National Park for sure. Oh and go bloody careful - not the safest city in the world ...

We have a gated villa with a tennis court and a swimming pool. We are there with locals so all good and definitely going to try the safari if I can.

North Yorkshire by the Sea

Definitely a safari in Kruger, over private game parks (glorified animal pens where hunting / drugged animal pics are allowed!) I didnt have long in Joburg itself, but try to do the wine route down to cape point, in Capetown go to Hout bay for brunch & up Table mountain. Whale watching is awesome. And, if you can, go up to the Orange river/ Namibia border, it was stunning, good kayaking too. Enjoy!

My knowledge of South Africa comes from the Lethal Weapon film.

Wonder if you still have the limbless cripples begging outside hotels.

Completely fucked up place.

Just where I need to be.

Pilanesberg Nature reserve is a great place to visit as well. I preferred it to Kruger. Smaller and you are nearer to the animals. I felt more that we were caged rather than the animals. You can visit Sun City while you are in that area. It is ok just to visit for a day. Make sure you visit local markets.God's Window in the Drekenbergs Mountains is beautiful and you can visit on the way to Kruger.Beautiful country.
