So far I have planned the following:
A lush lunch at a top restaurant; then sight-seeing one of the country's biggest attraction; probably just a light bite to eat, like a few plates of sushi; before going to see a show.
And if I still have energy left, I would have a cocktail or two, and plonk myself in front of the laptop and join the fun in the forums before I go to bed.
I don't push the boat out for all my birthdays, and the next one is not even a significant one. I decided to treat myself to a city break in London as I have not been back since I relocated down south nearly 5 years ago. In addition, the bonus and tax rebate helped, a lot!

I held a social for my birthday last year, a lot of planning went into that. This year it will be a quiet one with just a couple of friends in for a drink and nibbles. Enjoy your day you have planned Pearl. xxx |

It will be kind of bitter sweet, as no doubt I shan't be able not to remember the good times I had in London with my late partner when I lived there.
Hey ho, onwards and upwards! |

Some kind lady has organised a FAB social on my birthday so I shall be celebrating with some of the reprobates on here whilst wearing red, white and blue knickers |

Last year i spent my birthday cycling from Workington in Cumbria to Sunderland, all in one day to raise money for BreastCancerCare.
Was a hard day but absolutely fantastic.
This year i think i'll take the week off work & ride the off-road route from Walney Island (Cumbria) to Whitby, taking 4 days it think. |

I was planning to meet up with peeps for some sexy fun, however, that would interfere with my plan to eat lots of spicy garlicky food, so I decided to keep the weekend to myself alone. |

Hey, it's always good to remember the good times. They will always stay with you, and so will your late partner (in your heart) treasure them. xx |

I had a wonderful birthday last year. My partner Chris got me a lovely present - a 24 year old gorgeous guy, naked in a hotel room, with a bottle of massage oil |

We're both hit the Big 50 later this year.
I (Bob) will celebrate the occasion by being at work, however when Sandie's turn comes around a few weeks after mine, we will have just arrived at our hotel in Turkey for 10 days

2 options.
A/ On my own, takeaway, 6 pack and a takeaway with a test match on the TV.
Or
B/Night on the town with friends, late night curry, almost fall in the canal and finally waking up the next morning with a good looking bird in my bed.

I'm taking MJ to the Lakes for her birthday next month.
Lovely little pub in the wilds of Eskdale miles from anywhere. Great food, wonderful location and the best bit....
....we get to take our mountain bikes!!!
(Well, what did you think i was going to say? ) |

Oh, and this year will be the first year I celebrate my birthday as a singleton for the past 15 years. I have my son that week too, so no partying for me.
Fortunately, however, there's the Fab Social on the following Saturday night, so I intend to make up for it then. I just need to arrange a female to accompany me so I don't get kicked out before the fun starts. Otherwise I'll be spending my birthday driving up and down the M5. |

Why would a single gent be kicked out at a social event, unless it is at a club like Chams where single gents are not allowed after certain time on Saturdays? |

"ours will be great as me and sarah met off here and found out our birthdays were the SAME day!!!! how wierd is that???"
Nice - although you've got absolutely no excuse for forgetting each others' birthdays!
Have you ever heard of the Birthday Paradox? It sounds unbelievable but if you have 23 people in room there's a 50-50 chance of two people having the same birthday. In a room of 75 people there's a 99.9% chance of two people matching. |
